Involvement in middle and high school activities is an important aspect of a student's overall academic success and his/her wellness. Numerous studies show a positive correlation in students' academic success between students who participate in athletics and other extra-curricular activities.
Participation in extra-curricular activities also strengthens students' social growth and connection with the school and school staff.
Columbus City Schools has numerous activities available to our students, whether you're interested in performing arts, academic clubs, or athletics.
An Invitation to Incoming Freshman and Returning High School Girls:
Columbus City Schools has numerous athletic opportunities available to ladies attending our high schools. Check with your school or listen to the morning announcements.
Teamwork is one of the most important skills that a student can learn, and nowhere is this easier to teach than on the athletic field. In addition to scholastic ability, school sports can pay huge dividends in a child's development.
We look forward to your involvement in CCS athletics this summer and throughout the 2014-2015 school year!
