Facilities Master Plan Ad Hoc Committee

Columbus is growing and thriving, and Columbus City Schools is committed to a long-term vision of providing great schools and greater opportunities for every child in every neighborhood of our city, from cradle to career, including those students who have yet to join the CCS ranks. Your voice is needed as we envision future building needs through our Facilities Master Plan (FMP).

Ad Hoc Committee Final Recommendations
The community-volunteer members of the Ad Hoc Committee approved a series of recommended updates to the long-range Columbus City Schools Facilities Master Plan. These recommendations feature the construction and modernization of 18 school buildings across the District and throughout the city, including the construction of two new middle schools, a new Columbus Alternative High School (CAHS), and elementary school buildings "Ready for Pre-K" with space to accommodate early learning opportunities.
