Michael D. Cole, Vice President, is a distinguished civic leader who has engaged in transformative change initiatives throughout Ohio for citizens’ rights, including employment, small business inclusion, elections, mental health, restored citizenship and community development. As Founder and Senior Principal of Thoth Communications, Inc., Mr. Cole has maintained a successful career in public affairs and marketing working with public and private sector organizations.
Since moving to Columbus in 2000, Mr. Cole has been committed to public education having served as Advisory Board Chairman of the Village to Child Program at Ohio Dominican University and as a member of the Columbus City Schools External Monitoring Committee prior to his election. Professionally, Mr. Cole has consulted on numerous bond/levy projects from Richland to Fairfield counties that ensured proper funding for their public schools.
Mr. Cole is a graduate of The Ohio State University, having earned a Bachelor’s in international studies and additionally holds a Master’s in strategic communication and leadership from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.
Today, Mr. Cole remains devoted to servant leadership as a Board member of the historic J. Ashburn Jr. Youth Center and Homes on the Hill CDC. Among many distinctions, he is also a proud brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and the King David Lodge #116 Free and Accepted Prince Hall Masons.
Mr. Cole is married to his wife, Lee. They are the loving parents of three children.
