Support for Talented Students has opened their application process for students in grades K-12 identified as gifted in any area to request funding for a summer enrichment program of their choice. Last year, STS, thanks to the financial support of the Columbus Rotary and Osteopathic Medicine Foundation, provided more than $20,000 in funds for 96 Columbus students with financial need to attend a summer program. This is a great place to seek funding for things like OWjL camp, Martin Essex School, COSI programs, and more. Students can apply online at www.supportfortalentedstudents.org. See additional information here. Applications must be submitted by March 31.
Additionally, through the Jack Kent Cooke (JKC) Foundation, Northwestern has scholarship opportunities available for students to pursue online summer courses in the Gifted LearningLinks program. For more information about the program, including eligibility guidelines, visit http://ctd.northwestern.edu. When applying for a CTD online course, enter the code OHJKC1617 in the “group code” field on the payment screen. This will allow you to submit your application without making a payment so that your application can be evaluated. To be eligible for this scholarship, applications must be completed by June 1. However, scholarship funds are limited and awarded on a first come, first served basis to eligible students. Apply early for the best opportunity. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about this unique program.
