Seven CCS Students Earn State Talent Search Awards
Seven Columbus City Schools scholars earned state level awards in the 2017 Northwestern University Midwest Academic Talent Search program. Ayla Bella, Eve Greenwood, Daniel VanBibber, Kyra Hunter, Victoria Passafiume, and Siler Haskell, all scholars at Columbus Gifted Academy, and Elijah Lothrop, scholar at Columbus Alternative High School, were among the top scorers of students who took the PSAT 8/9, ACT, or SAT while still in grades 3 through 9.   Students who are invited to participate in the NUMATS program typically are in the top 5-10% of students nationwide, and awards are granted to the top 2-5% of those who participate in the program.  All scholars were honored at an awards ceremony held in Columbus in October.  Well done, scholars!
