Biographical Information

Mario Bowles became athletic director at Marion-Franklin in the summer of 2011.  With the start of the 2015-2016 school year he became the athletic director at Northland HS.

Bowles earned his bachelor’s degree from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri in Criminal Justice in 2005. Bowles will earn his master’s degree in Athletic Administration from Ohio University in the winter of 2012.

Mario A. Bowles BA., assumed an athletic director vacancy with Columbus City Schools in November, 2008 at Columbus Africentric Early College.  He previously served as an assistant director for Columbus Recreation & Parks Department at Beatty Recreation Center.

Bowles is a native of Columbus, Ohio as well as a graduate of Marion-Franklin High School in 2001. During Bowles high school tenure, he was a three sport student-athlete participating in Football, Basketball, and Tennis while ranked #1 in the nation in Boxing.  Bowles contributes his ability to adjust and succeed in life, to the lessons he learned while participating in athletics. Athletics allowed him to lay a solid foundation with his siblings, family and to his community. Bowles is proud to take over the athletic department of his alumni-mater, his unparalleled passion for athletics and his commitment to aiding the development of young adults during a pivotal stage in their live is ideal for Bowles.
