Free & Discounted Rides Courtesy of COTA

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) invites all community members to create a COTA account through their Transit App or through COTA.com to receive credit for a FREE ride. Once you create an account, COTA will put $4.50 on their account within two (2) business days.

Policy change to note: Children 4 and young ride at no cost. Children 5-11 ride for $1.

COTA’s Transit App

Plan, track and pay for your COTA rides all from one, convenient mobile app – Transit! The app keeps track of how much you’ve paid in fares per day and per calendar month to ensure you never pay more than the set fare cap.

The COTA Smartcard

No smartphone? No problem! The COTA Smartcard is an alternative option that still offers fare capping. COTA will distribute Smartcards from their Customer Experience Center at 33 N. High St., as well as at pop- up events at transit centers.
