Tyree Pollard

Tyree Pollard is the Director of Attendance for Columbus City Schools. He leads the district’s efforts of creating and implementing a system-wide attendance improvement strategy, utilizing a multi-tiered system of supports, and a framework that anchors early intervention and prevention, promotes daily attendance, and reinforces the importance of identifying and mitigating barriers of daily attendance.
Previously, Pollard served as the PreK-8 Assistant Principal of Columbus Africentric Early College (CAEC), then the PreK-5 Principal of CAEC.
Prior to joining CCS, Tyree was appointed to Chase STEM Academy with Toledo Public Schools in Toledo, Ohio as a BRIGHT Fellow through The Ohio State University.
He also served as the Director of Member Impact for the Grove City branch of YMCA of Central Ohio, an Academic Coordinator for the TRIO Educational Talent Search Program at Bowling Green State University, where he mentored more than 200 low-income families and students, and a Program Director for the Boys and Girls Club at East Broadway School in Toledo, OH.
Pollard holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University, Master of Organizational Leadership from Lourdes University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services from the University of Toledo.
Pollard has been with Columbus City Schools since 2016.
