    Kristen Kettlehake is an Equity Strategist for Columbus City Schools. She supports implementation of the Equity Department’s strategic priorities with an emphasis on support for schools and district departments on effective ways to strengthen equity by problem solving and creating processes, policies, and practices that will improve educational outcomes for students, workplace culture, and employees.

    Prior to her role as Equity Strategist, Kettlehake served as Director of Teaching, Learning and Professional Development, and Coordinator of Curriculum and Professional Development in Springfield City School District. She has also served as an intervention specialist in Dublin City Schools, New Albany-Plain Local Schools, and South-Western City Schools. 

    Throughout her career, Kettlehake has focused on creating systems that provide equitable learning experiences for students who have historically been underrepresented in quality and inclusive educational spaces. Her daily work is driven by the belief that educational systems have an obligation to provide supportive and rigorous environments in which all staff and students can access their full potential. 

    Kettlehake holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from University of Cincinnati and a Master of Education in Educational Administration. She has also completed the superintendent’s licensure program at Ashland University.

    Kettlehake has been with Columbus City Schools since 2022.
