Transportation Update for Charter and Non-Public School Families

  • The Columbus City Schools Transportation Department is finalizing busing routes and would like to update our Charter and Non-Public school education families regarding transportation for the 2022-2023 school year. 

    We aim to get routing information out to families as quickly as possible. This year, CCS Transportation is utilizing a new routing software, AlphaRoute, that allows school administrators to view students' transportation plans in a secure web-based portal and share that information with families. 

    As a result, families will not receive the standard transportation mailer they have in the past. Instead, CCS Transportation has asked your child's school administrator to share bus routing information with you directly. We are finalizing routing assignments and anticipate having the portal activated in the coming days. School administrators will then notify families of their child's route.

    We understand this may be inconvenient, but it is necessary for finalizing overall routing and ensuring families receive their busing information as quickly as possible. If you have not received information about your child's bus route by the first day of school, please reach out to your school for more information, or contact the Columbus City Schools transportation call center at 614-365-5074 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
