New Stronger Connections Grant
Safer and Healthier Schools Grant Awarded
In July 2023, Columbus City Schools was awarded $1.7 million by the Ohio Department of Education to address chronic absenteeism in the district. The funds will also allow for additional supports for students not responding to Tier 1 and 2 supports such as risk assessments and short term therapy.

The district has a process in place to apply for competitive grants. After identifying a grant, the grant endorsement process must be completed. For additional information on this process, first access the training module found in PublicSchoolWorks to learn how to use this online application. The Course Catalog Number is C-001, Course Number C-165, Title: CCS Grant Endorsement Procedures. When the training has been completed, the Grant Endorsement can be found in CCSDAS under General Request.
