Welcome Back, Columbus City Schools Families!

Each August brings a fresh new chapter for Columbus City Schools, and this year, there is so much we’re looking forward to!

First, I would like to thank everyone who joined us for our 4th Annual Back-to-School Resource Fair on Saturday, August 16, at Fort Hayes. It was wonderful connecting with so many families and feeling the excitement you share for a successful year ahead!

As we welcome our students back for the new school year, I'm reminded of the endless potential within each of our students. Our theme this year, 'Leaders Grown Here,' celebrates that potential! We are confident that our students have the ability to lead, and this year we plan to nurture their dreams, strengthen their leadership skills, and prepare them to step confidently into the leaders they are destined to be.

To ensure a smooth start to the year, I'd like to share some helpful resources and a few reminders to ensure your family is prepared for a strong start:

• Back-to-School Hub: Visit our Back-to-School Hub for quick access to everything you need for the year ahead, from school supply lists to school calendars, enrollment details, and more.
• Bus Route Information: Families of transportation-eligible students can find bus route details through the Parent Portal under the Transportation tab. Please be sure to check regularly for updates.
• Student Portal: The Student Portal is your child's digital home for grades, schedules, and learning resources, helping them stay organized and engaged.
• Student Handbook: Your Guide to Student Success 2025-2026 is now available. It outlines the policies and expectations that ensure our schools remain safe, inclusive, and academically focused. Inside each guide are required forms, key policies, and information to help your child thrive throughout the year.

As a district, we will work alongside you and your child every step of the way. Our partnership with you is key to every student’s success, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us. We are one team– when schools and families work together, we shape the leaders who will guide our community and our future.
