August 12, 2024 -- Dawayne Galloway is not only one of the top athletes in the city... he's one of the best athletes in the nation. The cornerback is ranked by ESPN as the #8 CB in the State of Ohio, receiving a 4-star rating and a spot in the ESPN 300. He's received offers from several big time Division I programs, and he recently committed to play football at Purdue University.

He's also a superstar in track - breaking records while at Marion Franklin. Although he did not run track until his sophomore year, by the end of his first season, he became a district champ, a regional champ and a state runner up in the 100 and 200. His junior year, he placed second in the state 100, and he helped break the school record in the 4x100 and 4x200. His team also placed third in the state in the 4x100.

Coach Floyd Cisco is looking forward to Galloway performing on the field when he gets to college and showing the world what he is made of. Dawayne thanks his teammates who have helped him along the way. Galloway now attends Walnut Ridge High School
