14 Schools Remaining In or Transitioning To Remote Learning on Jan. 4, 2022
**Updated Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 5:40 a.m.**
January 3, 2022 -- Due to a high number of staff absences, a total of 13 schools will remain in or transition to remote learning on Tuesday, January 4.
The following schools will be in remote learning and will NOT hold in-person classes on Tuesday, January 4:
- Berwick Alternative PreK-8
- Eastmoor Academy
- Fairmoor Elementary School
- Johnson Park Middle School
- Linden-McKinley STEM Academy 7-12
- Ridgeview Middle School
- Sherwood Middle School
- South High 7-12
- West Mound Elementary School
- Whetstone High School
- Woodward Park Middle School (added Tuesday morning)
- Woodward Park at Walden 6th Grade (added Tuesday morning)
- Yorktown Middle School
Families who do not have a Chromebook and need a device, can pick up a device from the school on Tuesday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Teachers and staff at these schools are expected to report on-site for their normal work schedule. The remainder of CCS schools will be in person and operate on their normal bell schedules on Tuesday, January 4.
A total of three schools will transition back to in-person learning on Tuesday, Jan. 4:
- Burroughs Elementary School
- Duxberry Park Alternative Elementary School
- Marion-Franklin High School
Due to a continued partial heating outage in the building, Valley Forge Elementary School will remain in remote learning on Tuesday, January 4. The school will NOT hold in-person classes on Tuesday.
Families who do not have a Chromebook and need a device can pick up a device from the school on Tuesday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Athletics for Tuesday, Jan. 4:
- All middle school athletic practices and games for the above schools are canceled.
All high school athletic practices and games will continue as planned.
