Board of Education Meeting

Viewing the Board Meeting 

The Columbus Board of Education’s regular business meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the District’s South Administrative Center, 3700 S. High Street.

The Columbus Board of Education will hold regular office hours before all regular business meetings from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. The office hours will allow community members to meet with Board members one-on-one, ask questions, and share their thoughts and concerns.

Meeting Agenda Topics

The meeting agenda topics include:

15.1 - Supporting Whole-Child Focused, and Equitable Opportunities for All, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into an agreement with Haugland Learning Center DBA LaMarche and Ramage, LLC Empower Behavioral Health and Intervention. Empower Behavioral Health and Intervention educates students with serious and complex behavioral and educational challenges. The Empower Behavioral Health and Intervention utilizes evidence-based methodologies and data-based strategies to encourage social, emotional, and behavioral success.  They also offer differentiated instruction based upon each student's strengths and needs.

18.1 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into an agreement with ESC of Central Ohio. ESC of Central Ohio will provide tutoring services that will support the education program for students at Cristo Rey High School.  The service will be purchased to support the nonpublic school as mandated by the ORC 3317.06 and 3317.024 for providing Title I services to nonpublic schools based upon each school's request.

Board Meeting - Public Comment Registration

Anyone wishing to comment publicly can address the Board in person or by telephone. To sign up, public participants must call to leave a voicemail with Customer Relations at 614-365-8888 or email customerrelations@columbus.k12.oh.us by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17. Speakers will need to provide their name, topic, and phone number.
