Business and Operations Legislation
13.1 - Supporting Strong Learning Communities in Every Region, and Authentic Engagement, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to renew their agreement with AT&T. The utilization of the service provided by AT&T has proven to be a valuable asset to the day-to-day operations of the Safety and Security Department. It has improved the internal and external communication capabilities of management and team members at the district level.
15.1 - Supporting Whole-Child Focus, and Equitable Opportunities for All, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into an agreement with Advanced Technologies Consultants. Advanced Technologies Consultants will provide a TU-208 HVACR Training Unit that will be utilized by both the Fort Hayes Career-Technical Education Program and the Adult and Community Education Program.
15.2 - Supporting Strong Learning Communities in Every Region, and Authentic Engagement, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into an agreement with Lakeshore Equipment Company. The District will prioritize this project due to the poor condition of existing furnishings. Existing furnishings are at or beyond their anticipated useful lives, resulting in conditions that are not conductive to current teaching methodologies, do not accommodate various styles of teaching and learning, and are not flexible and adaptable. There is a need for new furnishings to complete the interior updates planned for West High School Library.
15.3 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into an agreement with HAND2MIND INC. One need the district is addressing is assuring Pre-K students are Kindergarten ready. The District will purchase 1,751 Kindergarten Readiness kits that will be distributed to all Pre-K students at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. The Kindergarten Readiness Kits align with all the Board goals of Literacy, Math, and Matriculation to Kindergarten.
