Board of Education Meeting

Tuesday, April 1 at 6:00 p.m., South Administrative Building, 3700 S. High St., Room 825.

Viewing the Board Meeting 

The Columbus Board of Education’s regular business meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the District’s South Administrative Center, 3700 S. High Street.

The Columbus Board of Education will hold regular office hours before all regular business meetings from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. The office hours will allow community members to meet with Board members one-on-one, ask questions, and share their thoughts and concerns.

13.2 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to renew their agreement with Stertil-Koni USA Inc. It is recommended that the Board of Education authorize the administration to purchase six vehicle scissor lifts, four at Fort Hayes Service Center and two at 17th Ave Service Center from Stertil-Koni USA Inc.

13.3 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into an agreement with American Bus & Accessories. It is recommended that the board of education authorize the administration to purchase 30 passenger vans to supporting transporting students throughout the district. 

15.5 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All, and Authentic Engagement,  the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into an agreement with the Hand2Mind, Inc. The Summer Hands-On Standards Math Kits for Learning at Home are designed to reinforce key, grade-level math concepts through hands-on manipulatives and activities. These kits provide fun, engaging math practice that extends learning and is aligned to the district’s grade level curriculum. By investing in these kits, the district can ensure students have high-quality resources and activities to engage in learning throughout the summer months. 

15.8 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into an agreement with Hoffman Crow, Inc. dba Buckeye Educational Systems. The Career-Technical Education Department is launching a Robotics Smart Automation Program strategically designed to meet the growing demands of the Columbus Region, particularly in the auto and advanced mobility sectors.

Anyone wishing to comment publicly can address the Board in person or by telephone. To sign up, public participants must call to leave a voicemail with Customer Relations at 614-365-8888 or email customerrelations@columbus.k12.oh.us by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1. Speakers will need to provide their name, topic, and phone number.
