Graduation Message from Dr. Dixon
Dear CCS Community,
Our countdown to graduation is nearing its end! Beginning tomorrow, graduations will take place across Columbus City Schools through Saturday and I am beyond excited to celebrate our seniors.
As I shared earlier this month, we have seniors with promising jobs lined up, some who have committed to serve in the military, and others who will pursue a post-secondary education. The Class of 2022 has earned more than $21 million in scholarships and grants to-date.
I’d like to highlight and congratulate 22 CCS seniors who were recently named recipients of the I Know I Can Founders’ Scholarship. This scholarship is worth up to $10,000 per academic year for up to four years. Read the full article here.
Thank you to our school counselors and I Know I Can staff who have worked tirelessly to assist and support our students as they plan for their future. From the Founders’ Scholarship to the Columbus Promise and a multitude of FAFSA and college applications, you have been there with our seniors every step of the way.
To our seniors’ families: Thank you for your partnership in supporting and encouraging your students throughout their high school career. You are invaluable to their success and an integral part of our CCS community. We couldn’t do this without you.
To our seniors: I joined CCS during your freshman year, and every day since, you have amazed me with your hard work and perseverance to get to the finish line. I am so proud of you and I look forward to seeing what your future holds. It has been such a pleasure and honor to be a part of your CCS journey.
Sincerely,
Talisa Dixon
