Most Outstanding Bear Award

PE News:

I have started something called the Most Outstanding Bear Award. I will be selecting 1girl and 1 boy every Friday from the younger grades (K-2nd grades) and 1 girl and 1 boy from the older grades (3rd-5th grades). These studenrts represent the BEAR characteristics, respectful, helpful, cooperative, and does an amazing job partcipating in PE for that week. They will receive a certidicate to take home and their name will be on a bulletin board in the gym! We have partnered with the Columbbus Blue Jackets (Columbus's professional hockey team) this year. They donated over $3,000 worth of hockey equipment to Fairmoor. The students from grades 2nd-5th recieved a wrist band  with the Blue Jackets logofor accomplishing different challenges. Those included fitness, nutrition, and hockey skill challenges. The 5th graders who completed all 5 challenges will be going on a field trip to the Chiller Ice Rinks on
March 21st, 2019. The 5th grade students will also receive their own puck and hockey stick during Parent Teacher  Conferences (parents must come to a conferences to get one).

I've enjoyed my first year at Fairmoor and am looking forward to the second half of the school with your kids in Physical Education class!
