July 25, 2025 -- Columbus City Schools' Transportation Department is moving from traditional mail to a more efficient and eco-friendly method: online digital communication through the Parent Portal. This streamlines our processes, ensuring you receive timely and accurate information about your child's transportation arrangements and provides you with a more convenient and accessible way to stay updated.

What Does This Mean for Transportation Eligible Families?

If your child is eligible for transportation services, you'll access their bus routing information directly through the Parent Portal. To find this information, click on the 'Transportation' tab in the portal. You'll find all the necessary details, including your child's bus number, pick-up and drop-off times, and special instructions.

Key Dates to Remember:

●  Enrollment Deadline: Students enrolled in the District by August 4, 2025, will receive their updated transportation information by August 18, 2025. This timeline gives families ample time to plan for the upcoming school year without feeling rushed.

●  Enrollment After August 4: Students who enroll in the District after August 4 may experience a delay in their routing for the first day of school.

We encourage all families to regularly check the Parent Portal for updates regarding transportation routing information beginning August 18, 2025. To ensure you receive these updates, please log into the Parent Portal and navigate to the 'My Account' section. From there, you can update your contact information. Check back often, as updates will be available through August 18, providing plenty of time for any necessary adjustments or inquiries before the school year begins on August 25, 2025.
