Box Top Competition Continues

Bring in your box tops and fill up other class bins! Yes, that's right, the class with the LEAST box tops win!

Tubs will be counted in November and the class with the fewest box tops will vote on their prize!  Prize options will be announced by your teachers soon!

Family Ambassador:
Tricia Porostosky
I'm very excited to continue in this roll, connecting families to the Indianola community. I'm also eager to collaborate with our wonderful staff to engage families here at school, as well as extend learning at home and in the community.
You can  reach me by email at, leave a note in my box in the office, or find me in the building on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Absent? Tardy? Email!

Please send an email right away to when your student is going to be absent.  If the student's absence or late arrival is due to a doctor, dental, or court appointment, PLEASE get a written excuse from the office you are visiting. Picking up a child early without a valid reason will be counted as unexcused.

Please email documentation to Denise (see above) or fax to 614-365-8324. Thank you for your cooperation!

If your child rides a school bus to or from school, consider signing up for Bus Bulletin. This service will call, text, and/or email you when your child's route is running late. It can be difficult for phone calls to get through to transportation during high volume times and this alert can help alleviate a little anxiety. Mrs. Koeth receives bus bulletin for all Indianola Informal K-8 routes and finds it to be helpful. For more information about CCS Transportation, visit their page on the main CCS website here. To sign up for Bus Bulletin, click here.

Student Bus Stop Release Information

All students in grades Pre-K thru 2nd grade must be met at the bus stop each afternoon by a parent or guardian.  Parents or guardians can grant permission for transportation to release these students without a parent or guardian by completing a "School Bus Drop-Off Permission Slip" which can be obtained by your child's bus driver.
