Wellness Week Volunteers

Volunteers are needed Wednesday (tomorrow) to help with recess activities for the kids, if you are available please join us for a few minutes or a few hours, whichever you can spare. Please sign up!

Tonight at Conferences: Spiritwear and Poetry Art Sale

Spirit Wear t-shirts, in new and restocked sizes, as well as a poetry broadside (poster) created in part by Indy parent and author, Darren Demaree will be available for sale. 
Both make great gifts and 100% of the sale of the poetry broadsides benefits the PTO, WOW!

Timmy's Tonight
Local foodtruck, Timmy's Meltdown will be available on Weber Rd if you would like to purchase dinner while you are at school for conferences tonight.

A portion of proceeds will benefit the Indianola PTO.

Label Jackets and Check Lost and Found!

It's crazy!  Northface, LLbean, Diesel jackets... over 87!  Labels inside your kids' jackets, hats, and gloves will make sure they get back home! Order fabric labels here or on Amazon.
Please also check lost and found when you are in the building for drop-off or school conferences (please only take what belongs to your kids).

Help your student be a better reader.
All locations have a Reading Buddies program.
  • Students in Kindergarten through Grade 3
  • One-on-one reading practice with library staff or volunteers
  • To help students with reading skills so they can be successful in school
Columbus Metropolitan Library: Homework Help Centers
All locations have Homework Help Centers and provide what students need to succeed in school:
  • Friendly staff and volunteers to help
  • Welcoming spaces to study and learn
  • Computers and printers
  • School supplies
  • Resource books
Transit Arts 

FREE workshops for students in the areas of visual arts, hip hop dance (starting at age 5), and poetry. Transit Arts also provides open mic nights, info can be found at

***OSU Spring Break Camp***
Register now for spring break camp at OSU through recreational sports. Cost is $38 per day. Register here, click on "Community Porgrams", filter list by selecting Spring 2019 and Youth and Family for the category.

Middle School Food Drive
Sixth, 7th and 8th grade students are participating in a Food Drive THIS WEEK!  Students are asked to bring in TWO CANNED GOODS ITEMS TO THEIR HOMEROOM TEACHER, ( MORE CANNED GOODS ARE WELCOME!! ) through Friday.  The following week, the middle school teachers will play a volleyball game versus the students on Tuesday, November 20th during period 8 as a celebration of helping others from our community with this food drive.
