8th Grade Art Gala

It is that time of year when we begin to get ready for the
Annual 8th grade Art Gala!
This is a time for you and your children to look back and celebrate their years of creativity and artistic endeavors throughout middle school, and their time at Indianola!
We will have on display, several pinnacle projects from 8th grade, and maybe a few surprises from the past ;)
I have created a sign up for volunteers located below.  Traditionally we have had tables with desserts, drinks, and decorations, among the art hanging for enjoyment and reflection on the ground floor in the hallway. Following the Art Gala, there will be a slide show of photos looking back at the entire 9 years of your children's growth throughout their time here at Indianola, in the auditorium. (More info to come on the photo slideshow!)
Tuesday, May 28, 2019   6:30-8pm
Please sign up to bring a dessert or to help out with set-up/clean-up!
Our community is what makes this school special, and what makes this event memorable for our 8th graders. Thank you for being such an integral part of this celebration as we reflect and wish our kids farewell!

2019 Indianola Informal K-8 Graduate Award

The Indy PTO will award $500 this year to a student graduating from any area high school that attended Indianola Informal K-8 school for at least four years and graduated from 8th grade. A recipient will be selected from the eligible applicants by a random lottery. He or she must then submit a class schedule from a college or post-secondary program to verify enrollment. Because Indianola students can reside in any area of the Columbus City School district, they may be enrolled in any high school following their Indianola experience.

* Must complete the online application below
* Recipient is chosen in random lottery and notified by the end of this school year

Volunteer at Arts Festival: Required Training Dates

Did you know that our PTO will be working a fun, frozen beverage tent at the Columbus Arts Festival on Saturday, June 8th and we need your HELP to raise funds for our Indy students?  Our Indianola PTO will earn 10% of all sales + 100% of all Tips we earn that day.  That $ will go directly into our account to put towards all of the financial support the Indianola PTO provides to the school and our students!

We are looking for volunteers to help in the booth with either running the "register," Beverage filling or a Beverage Mixer!  Sign up to volunteer!

New Volunteers (If you volunteered last year, no need to attend unless you will be a lead) will need to attend one of the Frozen Drink Booth Training sessions held by the GCAC (Greater Columbus Arts Council - 100 E Broad St. #2250, Columbus, OH 43215).  Next session currently is:   Thursday, May 30th from 6:30PM to 8:00 PM.  If this will not work but you would like the opportunity to volunteer, please contact Bhavin Shah at
