IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Increased Hand Washing
As the best way to prevent the spread of any respiratory illness is to follow routine hygiene etiquette, Indianola students and staff are increasing their hand washing at school. Everyone is being asked to wash hands when they arrive, before going home, and before eating.

Also, please continue to follow the normal procedures for when to keep your child home if sick.

Wellness Focus and Fitness Survey
Throughout March there will be opportunities to focus on health and wellness culminating with Wellness Week March 30-April 3 and the Clintonville 5K on April 4.

Family fitness is important as parents' habits greatly impact the attitudes that children develop around physical activity. I'm asking women (moms, grandmothers, aunties etc) to take a minute to complete my survey at https://tinyurl.com/cbusfitsurvey. Thank you!

Feedback will help to improve fitness opportunities for women in Columbus as part of my COPLTI (Central Ohio Parent Leadership Training Institute) community project. Please direct any questions to Tricia at tporostosky@gmail.com .

Kids That Compost
Through PTO support, we are excited to start a few compost buckets to teach the practice of keeping food scraps and other compostable waste out of the landfill, a practice they will teach others and take into adulthood.  More info

Join the biggest fundraiser of the year - the Indianola Carnival! The next planning meeting for our 10th Anniversary Carnival is happening today, March 11th at 6:30pm. Meet in the library to learn more, join a committee and help our school. Childcare is provided.

Wellness Week
Wellness Week is coming up March 30-April 3, and our committee could use more helpers! Please consider getting involved! There are multiple ways to accommodate everyone's different availability and talents--making calls to ask for donations, leading students in a stretching or exercise routine, teaching a new game on the playground, passing out a new food in the cafeteria, etc.... Our students always have a blast this week, and the more people we get involved the better it'll be! Sign up here.
