Back to School Clothing Assistance

The Charity Newsies application for clothing assistance for Franklin County families in need is live at www.charitynewsies.org. Since 1907, Charity Newsies has provided over 765,000 children with warm weather clothing and winter coats. Charity Newsies vision is to ensure all school-aged children have the clothes and coats they need to go to attend school. All children in need actively enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th grade in any public, private, parochial, charter or vocational school in Franklin County are eligible. Each child will receive a brand new clothing package consisting of six pairs of socks, underwear for the week, a coat, hat, gloves and three shirts and three pants. Should the child attend a school with a dress code, dress code compliant clothing will be provided. Children attending schools with a uniform with a logo will receive a full clothing package along with a voucher to use at a local uniform store for the items requiring a specific logo.
Applications must be submitted online and in person applications are not available. Pick up appointments for clothes will be scheduled in the order in which applications are received. Families will be able to pick up the clothing at Charity Newsies, 4300 Indianola Avenue, Columbus, OH 43214. Visit us at www.charitynewsies.org
