Qualifying events (Life or Job Status Changes) provide a 30-day eligibility period for current employees to add or drop dependents and make other eligible changes to coverage. Life status changes must be accompanied by the appropriate documentation (see chart below). A change in job status to a benefits eligible position also provides an employee with a 30 day window to enroll for benefit coverage. Should a qualifying event occur (Life or Job Status Change), you must report your life event in Employee Self Service, within 30 days and provide the documentation as listed below within that 30 day period.
