Show the Love - Every Day Counts!
This midyear season is an important time to reinforce routines and remind students that attendance is connected to belonging, relationships, and confidence. When students show up consistently, they stay connected to learning and the people who support them.
Elementary School
Hearts for Showing Up!
At School:
- Each day of perfect attendance adds a heart to the class chart.
- Classes may use heart- or puzzle-piece displays such as “You Complete the Class.”
- Bulletin boards may be shaped like hearts and fill up with daily attendance.
- Some schools may share pink and red “attendance grams” or use “I ♥ Showing Up!” frames.
At Home:
- Build a consistent morning routine.
- Talk about why attendance matters and how it shows responsibility.
- Celebrate weekly attendance wins together.
Middle School
Show the Love Challenge
At School:
- Students who maintain 95%+ attendance may be entered into raffles.
- Schools may host a “Love Your School” pep rally or kindness challenge week.
- Visual displays may track grade-level or advisory attendance progress.
- Social media or hallway frames may feature “I ♥ Showing Up!” messages.
At Home:
- Set family attendance goals for February.
- Use an evening checklist to prepare for school.
- Encourage daily consistency and accountability.
High School
Show the Love Challenge
At School:
- Students who maintain 95%+ attendance may be entered into raffles for spirit gear, gift baskets, or lunch with the principal.
- Schools may host pep rallies, advisory challenges, or kindness-focused activities.
- Attendance visuals and digital messaging may reinforce showing up every day.
At Home:
- Prepare the night before to support on-time arrival.
- Connect attendance to graduation, college, and career goals.
- Reinforce independence, responsibility, and follow-through.
