Columbus Board of Education to Have Quorum in Person for March 18 Business Meeting
March 17, 2020 -- The Columbus Board of Education will meet in person with a quorum present for its regular business meeting on Wednesday, March 18, at 5:30 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the Columbus Education Center.
Some members will join the meeting via teleconference, but they will be prohibited to vote on any agenda items.
Public participation opportunity at the March 18, 2020 Board meeting will be removed from the Board of Education’s agenda due to our ongoing efforts to keep families, students, staff and the community safe and in accordance with Board Policy 0169.1.
The Board of Education is discouraging the public from attending the meeting in person due to social distancing guidelines from public health and government officials. The public can access the meeting by watching the live stream on the Columbus City Schools’ Facebook page.
The public can access the live stream through the Columbus City Schools’ Facebook page. The meeting will be archived on Facebook and on the Columbus Board of Education’s YouTube channel. The meeting agenda can be found on the District’s BoardDocs page.
All Board of Education committee meetings have been canceled during the extended school district closure. The Board Retreat scheduled for March 31 has also been canceled.
