Greetings Liberty Lions Families,
Can you beleive it? There's just 5 weeks left in the 2021-2022 school year! We are in the home stretch. Although it is nearing the end of the school year, there's lots of unfinished learning left to do. Please encourage students to come to school each day prepared to learn. They should remain focused and not slack off now.Attached is the Parent Newsletter for May 2022. Please read it in its entirety as it details important information for you to know about our school. Also, please make sure that your contact information is up to date with the school via the Parent Portal.
A friendly reminder that at Liberty we are Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Kind. We expect students to keep their hands, feet and/or objects to self, and treat others as they wish to be treated. Thank you for your continued support of our school.
Best,
Shalonda Likely-Roach,
Principal

March 9, 2022 -- For even the most tech-savvy of parents, keeping up with all of the latest apps your child wants to download can be a real struggle. It can be difficult to tell which apps are a real threat to your child’s well-being.
Our Family Engagement team and our tech-safety partners at Bark recently shared a list of twelve most widely-used and most dangerous apps for young people to have on their phones. Some you’ll probably recognize, but a few may surprise you.
You can watch the full presentation from our Virtual Family Engagement Session at https://www.ccsoh.us/Page/10849.
You can also read all about it on Columbus City School's website at 12 Most Dangerous Apps for Kids

This year Liberty will be having a School Store all year long! But listen...It's online ONLY! When friends and families shop at their favorite online stores through SchoolStore.com, Liberty wins! SchoolStore.com is an online shopping mall with over 400 stores to shop from. You never will go door-to-door selling, no collecting money and no delivery of products. You can earn great prizes, with each item that's ordered. You have until the end of the school year to earn these prizes!

Students will keep their Chromebook throughout the summer so they can complete work throughout the summer. Parents, please help to make sure students are taking good care of their device. If devices need maintenance during the summer, call the CCS factline at (614) 221-FACT for support. If you have not done so, please sign up for summer school. Students will receive a summer learning packet to take home during the last week of school.
