  • Cowboys Teach Westgate Elementary Students Chess

    This month, West students visited Westgate Elementary School where they met a group of Westgate students and played chess with them. Jo Smith was one of the students who taught the students some advanced chess moves.

  • Students and Staff Join Community Member on Neighborhood Walk

    On Wednesday, March 19, Move Together Columbus kicked off their inaugural walk with Columbus City Schools at West High School. Move Together is a local organization that encourages Columbus area residents to be healthier and happier through movement of all kinds. Read more about the event by clicking here

  • Food Frenzy! SLC Students Deliver Snacks

    Each day, Lauren Johnston, an intervention specialist at West, and a group of her students load up their Food Frenzy snack cart with chips, drinks, popcorn, cookies, and more. They bring the cart around the building to fulfill staff orders. Learn more here

    Registration Opens February 8

    Registration for Summer Experience for elementary and middle school students is NOW OPEN! 

    The 2025 Summer Experience is FREE to all Pre-K through 12 Columbus City Schools students! Summer Experience for Pre-K through 8 students kicks off June 23, and June 9 for high school students. We're excited to provide CCS students and families with a summer of exciting school and community-based learning experiences.
