🌟 Proud Moment at the Statehouse! 🌟
    From: Principal Nickerson
Yesterday, I had the incredible privilege of supporting our 9th grade Student Council member, Ebenezer Vasquez-Fuentes, as he delivered powerful testimony before a Senate committee at the Ohio Statehouse. Ebenezer spoke with poise, courage, and a deep understanding of the needs of CCS students. His words resonated with the committee, earning him praise from the senators and a round of heartfelt applause from the audience. 👏
We are beyond proud of Ebenezer’s advocacy and his willingness to use his voice to represent South High School and Columbus City Schools in such a dynamic and impactful way. 💬🎓
A special shoutout to fellow Student Council members Shay’nna Bennett and Tyrese Ingram, who stood by Ebenezer with unwavering moral support during a nearly 3-hour wait. Their patience and solidarity were inspiring. The students also toured the Capitol and were recognized by Ohio State representative Erika White for their bravery and leadership. 🏛️✨
Please join me in congratulating these outstanding young leaders! The future is bright with students like them lighting the way. 💡💪
