Columbus City Schools To Begin Chromebook Distribution For Middle And Elementary School Students

**UPDATE** - Columbus City Schools families who are in need of a Chromebook can make an appointment to get a computer at Central Enrollment (430 Cleveland Ave., 43215). The District will loan out two computers per household.

Chromebooks will be given out by appointment Tuesday, April 21, through Saturday, April 25, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Central Enrollment.

Chromebook Repairs

For troubleshooting or repairs to Chromebooks, families can call the IT Helpdesk at (614) 365-8425. The Helpdesk will determine if an appointment for a repair is needed and schedule the appointment. Repairs will be completed at the Kingswood Data Center (1091 King Ave., 43212) on Tuesdays between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

March 25, 2020 -- Columbus City Schools is providing Chromebook computers for students who do not have access to a computer at home. Each household is limited to one device, which must be returned when school re-opens.

High school students have already received their computers. For middle school students, computers will be given out at their assigned school of enrollment at our traditional middle schools and K-8 buildings on Friday, March 27, and Monday, March 30, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. If you missed your school's Chromebook distribution date, please contact your school principal. Please see the following schedule to determine the date for your student’s school:

Friday, March 27

Buckeye, Champion, Dominion, Hilltonia, Indianola Informal K-8, Ridgeview, Starling K-8, Wedgewood, Westmoor

Monday, March 30

Arts Impact MS, Berwick K-8, Columbus Gifted Academy, Prep School for Boys, Prep School for Girls, Johnson Park, Medina, Mifflin MS, Sherwood, Woodward Park, Woodward Park at Walden, Yorktown

Additionally, computers will be given out to elementary school students by grade at their assigned school of enrollment on Tuesday, March 31, and Wednesday, April 1, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. 

Students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 will pick up computers on Tuesday, March 31, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Students in grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd will pick up computers on Wednesday, April 1, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Parents or guardians will be required to sign a liability agreement before receiving the device, which must be returned when school re-opens. Elementary students do not need to be present to receive a device.
