Columbus City Schools Students Artwork Installed in Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion Mosaic Mural at Nationwide Children’s Hospital
September 4, 2020 -- Under the direction of Berwick K-8 Art Instructor Dr. Terry Mottinger, the following CCS students now have their creative work installed in the new Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion Mosaic Mural at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

The Mosaic mural is made up of 10,000 pieces of artwork and messages of support from people across the country. The piece offers hope and strength to patients and families awaiting treatment at the Pavilion’s Psychiatric Crisis Department.
Michael Rubyan, a project representative affiliated with Nationwide Children’s Hospital said, “Thank you again for all of your outstanding efforts and contributions to the Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion Mosaic Mural at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Thanks to you we were able to collect over 11,000 artworks representing messages of hope and support as we work together to break the stigma around children’s mental health.
