October is National Principals Month. It’s safe to say that the image of the school principal has changed over the years. In the old days, if you were sent to the principal’s office, it certainly wasn’t for anything good. Today, principals are often revered as role models for many students.
Not only are principals instrumental in selecting quality teachers that result in positive learning, but principals establish the culture of the school community. True, principals do counsel and discipline students, but they also do a lot more. Principals hire the excellent teachers, provide equipment and resources so those teachers can provide the best for their students. Through visionary leadership and tireless pursuit of success for each student, principals guide and support their schools in many ways.
The key to a bright education starts with a great principal. To all the CCS principals, THANK YOU for your hard work and showing us all how to Rise Up for one another.
