March 17, 2023 -- The Columbus City Schools Board of Education announced that applications for District Superintendent will be accepted from March 27 through April 21, 2023.
Information on how to apply will be available on the Board of Education’s search website, www.ccsleadershipsearch.com, on March 27. Details and the position description will be on the APPLY page. Applications will be submitted directly to the search firm, Ray and Associates.
Concurrently, the Board of Education will solicit community input using focus groups and surveys. The community will be asked about the role of the next Superintendent and the qualities that the ideal candidate should possess. The Board of Education is committed to a community-driven, transparent and inclusive process and will use community input in its evaluation process for selecting the new Superintendent.
Details about community input will be shared on www.ccsleadershipsearch.com as well as the Columbus City Schools website, on District social channels, and with families and District employees.
In early May 2023, the Board of Education will review applications, select semi-finalists, and complete the first round of interviews. Finalists will be announced in mid-May, followed by the final round of interviews. The Board of Education will enter into a contract with the selected candidate and announce the new Superintendent.
The Board of Education expects to have a new Superintendent in place by the start of the 2023-2024 academic year.
