March 08, 2024 -- James Nowell, Eastmoor Academy class of 2024, is a well known and respected name in the Columbus City League because of his impact on the basketball court. Since joining the varsity team in his sophomore season, his highlights include hitting 12 three pointers in one game (1st in school history). He even has a career high of 40 points (4th in school history), and this year he scored over 1,000 career points (3rd person to do that since 2012 under head coach James Miranda). The 2024 first team all city selection, and 2x second team all city selection is going to miss his brotherhood at Eastmoor, and he’s excited for the players who will step up next year in his absence. James desires to continue playing the game he loves and strives to play basketball at the next level - college.
