City League Stars - Jahmere Johnson

May 13, 2024 -- Jahmere Johnson earned the respect of some of the best hoopers in the City League as a sophomore during the 2022-23 season from players including Dom Aekins. This year, as a junior in a City League South loaded with talent, he earned First Team All City Honors, and he is helping to rebuild his high school program at West High School, averaging 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists per game.

Head Coach Isaac Jefferson is happy to coach at West and relive the memories he made as a player. He sees Johnson as a key piece to the program, and the winning culture his team is working hard to build. In addition to basketball, Johnson is a star on the football field. This year he made Second Team All District in Division II, and First Team All City as a wide receiver. If given the opportunity, Jahmere will succeed in college because of his natural athletic ability, his confidence and his work ethic.
