27 Columbus City Schools Scholars “Dream Big” As I Know I Can Founders’ Scholarship Recipients
June 20, 2024 --Twenty-seven Columbus City Schools (CCS) graduates boosted their academic futures by receiving the distinguished I Know I Can Founders’ Scholarship. The scholarship provides each student up to $10,000 per academic year for up to four years.
"I am delighted to celebrate our 2024 I Know I Can Founders' Scholarship recipients," said Columbus City Schools Superintendent/CEO Dr. Angela Chapman . "Their dedication and hard work have earned them this well-deserved recognition. With the support of I Know I Can, our Columbus City Schools scholars are well on their way to achieving their dreams. I am excited to witness the positive impact they will undoubtedly make in their communities and beyond."
To earn the Founders' Scholarship, students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA, complete the CCS College Preparatory Curriculum, maintain a minimum attendance rate of 93% throughout high school, stay continuously enrolled in Columbus City Schools from ninth to 12th grade, and demonstrate financial need for college.
This year marks 35 years of collaboration between I Know I Can and CCS. Since 2010, more than 225 students have received the Founders’ Scholarship, with the program awarding over $7.5 million.
