Organizations Donate To Several Columbus City Schools This Holiday Season

December 10, 2020 -- Thanks to the generosity of Rock City Church, all Southwood Elementary School students received a free pair of shoes, socks and other gifts during a drive-thru distribution. This is the ninth year Rock City Church has donated shoes to Columbus City Schools students, along with the help from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office with their generous donation of warm socks.

Thanks to the generosity of Operation Warm and retailer Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (A&F Co.), hundreds of Columbus City Schools (CCS) students will receive brand-new winter coats as part of Operation Warm Up Columbus. During the week of November 23rd, dozens of boxes of coats were delivered to four CCS schools (Cassady, Highland, Sullivant and West Broad) to be distributed to students in need. A&F Co. has partnered with Operation Warm since 2015. Together, they have provided more than 100,000 coats to kids in need across the U.S. and Canada.
