Viewing the Board Meeting

The Columbus Board of Education regular business meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Southland Center (3700 S. High St.). 

Meeting attendees will need to enter the north-facing door toward the west end of the building.

Meeting Agenda Topics

The meeting agenda topics include:

4.1 - Superintendent Dr. Talisa Dixon will provide an executive report regarding academic performance data.

13.7 - The Board will be asked to authorize the funding of early learning software through the Waterford Institute, to be used in the district's preschool programs along with professional development for district teachers.  

15.1 - The Board will be asked to authorize the use of ESSER funds to enter into a service agreement with City Year Columbus, one of the most impactful near-peer mentor programs measured in the past 30 years.

17.2 - The Board will be asked to authorize the use of ESSER funds to enter into a purchase service agreement with In Class Today, Inc. The partnership with EveryDay Labs resulted in an 8% improvement of students moving from chronically absent to non-chronically absent last year during a pilot program in Region VI.

18.5 - The Board will be asked to approve a Construction Manager at Risk contract to target HVAC and supporting system upgrades.

22.1 - The Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into a service agreement with MYCARERIDE to accommodate the unique needs for transportation for the district’s vulnerable youth.

Making a Public Comment

Any public participant wishing to make comments has the option of addressing the Board in person or by telephone. To sign up, public participants must call to leave a voicemail with Customer Relations at 614-365-8888 or email customerrelations@columbus.k12.oh.us by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6. Speakers will need to provide their name, topic, and phone number.
