Viewing the Board Meeting

The Columbus Board of Education regular business meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Southland Center (3700 S. High St.). 

Meeting attendees will need to enter the north-facing door toward the west end of the building.

Meeting Agenda Topics

The meeting agenda topics include:

4.1 - Superintendent Dr. Talisa Dixon will provide an executive report regarding Pathway Express, followed by an Operations Update.

13.2 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All and Strong Learning Communities in Every Region, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into a service agreement with Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes to provide a training workshop to CCS speech-language pathologists.

13.4 - Supporting Board Goal One: Strengthen Reading Proficiency, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into a purchase agreement with Bookelicious Inc. to help build home libraries and increase students’ access to print.

14.1 - Ensuring Strong Learning Communities in Every Region, the Board will be asked to authorize the district to purchase 4,000 Chromebook computers from Cincinnati Bell Technology Services.

16.5 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities For All, the Board will be asked to approve the purchase of emergency HVAC rental services from Debra-Kuempel. This will allow for continued operations during repairs or replacements.

25.2 - 25.3 - The Board will be asked to accept a donation from the Columbus Foundation for South High School, and from the Maria Tiberi Foundation for the Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center.

Making a Public Comment

Any public participant wishing to make comments has the option of addressing the Board in person or by telephone. To sign up, public participants must call to leave a voicemail with Customer Relations at 614-365-8888 or email by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4. Speakers will need to provide their name, topic, and phone number.
