Viewing the Board Meeting
The Columbus Board of Education will begin with its organizational meeting at 5:00 p.m. to elect the Board President and Vice-President, followed by the regular business meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Southland Center (3700 S. High St.).
Meeting attendees will need to enter the north-facing door toward the west end of the building.

Meeting Agenda Topics
The meeting agenda topics include:
4.1 - Interim Superintendent Dr. Angela Chapman will provide an Executive Report.
13.1 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All and Strong Learning Communities in Every Region, the Board will consider a resolution to approve amenities at various district events. This includes items that constitute the public purpose of the promotion of education, enhancement or morale, and rapport, and the encouragement of participation.
13.2 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All and Strong Learning Communities in Every Region, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into an agreement with Mount St. Joseph University. This new partnership will offer further professional training within the Gifted and Talented Division, providing enrichment learning opportunities that will support and advance student achievement.
25.1 - Supporting a Whole-Child Focus and Board Goal Three: Develop Portrait-Ready Graduates, the Board will consider a resolution to adopt the Fiscal Year 2024 Tax Budget.
25.4 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All and Board Goal Two: Close Opportunity Gaps, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to accept a donation from the TV Remote Testing Services to support students at Easthaven Elementary School.
27.1 - The Board will conclude with an Executive Session per Section 121.22 (G)(1) Ohio Revised Code, to consider the appointment, employment, or compensation of public employees.

Making a Public Comment
Any public participant wishing to make comments has the option of addressing the Board in person or by telephone. To sign up, public participants must call to leave a voicemail with Customer Relations at 614-365-8888 or email customerrelations@columbus.k12.oh.us by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3. Speakers will need to provide their name, topic, and phone number.
