Meeting Agenda Topics

The meeting agenda topics include:

14.1 - Supporting Authentic Engagement, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into a purchase of service agreement with International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP). In Alignment with Board Guardrail 2.1, CCS Staff will receive training on becoming Restorative Practices Trainers. Upon completion of this trainer training, our District staff will provide training to all staff in adopting a Restorative Practices approach to student management, resulting in increased time in class with students who are more able to self-regulate and staff who are more able to guide them in regulating.

16.2 - Supporting Authentic Engagement and Strong Learning Communities in Every Region, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into a purchase of service agreement with Xtek Partners. The Office of Safety and Security monitors and maintains over 6,000 video cameras throughout the District. As a result of the ongoing District-wide security assessments and video camera standardization initiatives to upgrade school security, it is recommended that additional video camera systems are required. This will assist with the overall goal of protecting the health, welfare, and safety of families, students, staff, and visitors on CCS property.

24.1 - Supporting Strong Learning Communities in Every Region, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into a purchase of services agreement with The Ohio State University to provide services aligned to the Wallace Foundation Equity Centered Pipeline Initiative (ECPI) Grant. In 2021, the District was one of 8 districts nationwide to receive the highly competitive Wallace ECPI grant in partnership with The Ohio State University, Ashland University and The Ohio Department of Education. The Ohio State University College of Education and Human Ecology will establish the Institute for Equity-Centered School Leadership to provide support for experienced building and district leaders interested in continued professional learning and opportunities for growth.
