Christian Angel Selected as CCS Digital Academy Principal

Christian Angel August 19, 2020 -- Columbus City Schools has selected Principal Christian Angel to lead its CCS Digital Academy with the virtual start of the 2020-2021 school year. 

Professionally, she brings a wide range of knowledge and experience in many areas of K-12 education, having started her career with Columbus City Schools in 2001 as a substitute teacher. Throughout her time with CCS, Christian has worked with alternative programs such as the Y.E.A.H program, and the Virtual Credit Advancement Program (VCAP).  In 2016, Christian worked as the Leadership Intern at her alma mater, Mifflin High School, before being promoted to assistant principal of Linden McKinley STEM Academy 7-12 in 2017. 

She is committed to building upon the successful partnerships that maximize the skills students are learning in the online classroom, increasing student attendance and parent engagement, and using data to demonstrate highly effective teaching and learning strategies.  

Ms. Angel holds two Master’s Degrees in Curriculum & Instruction and Administration from Ashland University, and she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Buffalo.

She is enthusiastic about the opportunity to connect with the many staff members, families, and community partners who support rich and engaging academic experiences to achieve the CCS Digital Academy’s goals and ensure our students are our top priority, both academically and socially.
