Welcome To World Language Middle School

  • Sandra Santos

The District’s World Language Middle School is in their 4th year! Sandra Santos leads the administrative team at the newcomer/immersion middle school. This program provides a rigorous bilingual language immersion continuum for the District’s two immersion schools – Ecole Kenwood French Immersion and Columbus Spanish Immersion Academy. Students are able to continue their language pathway in grades 9-12 at Columbus North International School or Columbus Global Academy.

“I am excited to continue to connect with students, families, and community partners to contribute to our robust and engaging academic experience that promotes grade-level academic achievement, bilingualism, and bi-literacy in relevant and real-world ways,” said Principal Santos.

Principal Santos holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Physical Education, and Health Education and a Masters of Education from Wright State University. She is fluent in Spanish and was formerly an assistant principal at Mifflin High School.

  • CCS is a No Phone Zone District

Research shows that when students disconnect from their cell phones during the school day, they become more attentive, perform better academically, and develop stronger connections with their teachers and peers. Our goal is not to penalize, but to create learning environments where every student is fully engaged and distraction-free.
