Burroughs Elementary is named after John Burroughs
La escuela primaria Burroughs honra la memoria de John Burroughs.
John Burroughs
April 3, 1837 – March 29, 1921
John Burroughs was an American writer and naturalist that was very influential in conserving natural resources in America at the turn-of-the-century. He is best known for his observations on birds, flowers and rural scenes. There are 13 schools in the U.S. that are named after John Burroughs, our school being one of them! Our school used to be called John Burroughs Elementary, but it was later shortened to just Burroughs Elementary.
John Burroughs fue un destacado escritor y naturalista estadounidense que dejó una huella profunda en la conservación de los recursos naturales en Estados Unidos a principios del siglo XX. Su legado se centra en sus agudas observaciones de aves, flores y paisajes rurales. Hay 13 escuelas en los EE. UU. que honran su nombre, ¡y la nuestra es una de ellas! Nuestra escuela, que anteriormente se conocía como John Burroughs Elementary, ahora se ha simplificado a Burroughs Elementary.
