CCS is a No Phone Zone District
Research shows that when students disconnect from their cell phones during the school day, they become more attentive, perform better academically, and develop stronger connections with their teachers and peers. Our goal is not to penalize, but to create learning environments where every student is fully engaged and distraction-free.

John Burroughs
April 3, 1837 – March 29, 1921
John Burroughs was an American writer and naturalist that was very influential in conserving natural resources in America at the turn-of-the-century. He is best known for his observations on birds, flowers and rural scenes. There are 13 schools in the U.S. that are named after John Burroughs, our school being one of them! Our school used to be called John Burroughs Elementary, but it was later shortened to just Burroughs Elementary.
