Young Men of Excellence Program Helps West Students Succeed
The Young Men of Excellence program is an opportunity for students at West to learn more about overcoming challenges and succeeding in their lives. Hear from Ryan Suazo, a West sophomore and the organization's vice president, about what he and his fellow students learned in the program.
The Young Men of Excellence program is run by Nate Jameson. The Young Men of Excellence program is dedicated to helping young teens like as myself. It helps them grow by addressing personal challenges through a variety of activities and conversations we do and have. Students are encouraged to discover more about themselves while fostering deeper connections with their peers in the program. The program is led by Nate Jameson, president; Steven and I currently serve as the vice presidents and we work together to empower and uplift each other. I got elected as vice on the 3rd day of the program. My main role is to keep everything on track by reminding the students in the program about upcoming events and activities. I also help out wherever needed, and when we visit other schools, me and Steven are usually the ones who speak about the program.
Congratulations to all students who successfully completed the program!
