Highland Elementary Classrooms a Buzz with Holiday Activity
Dec. 17, 2019 - The Safelite company held its third annual Safelite Holiday Party at Highland Elementary School with the help of Santa, Mrs. Claus and plenty of elves!
Safelite volunteer elves hosted crafting sessions in each classroom, along with a visit from the jolly couple who delivered wrapped holiday gifts for each student. The River radio station provided some high energy tunes with a remote live broadcast from the school’s gymnasium.
“The Safelite company has been supporting our students and staff for four years by providing school supplies at the beginning of the year, and a perfect complement of gifts for our students before the holiday break,” said Principal Dr. Elizabeth McNally. “Their compassionate support is truly a gift beyond this season of giving, and we appreciate that their leadership and associates are actively engaging our students to make a difference in their lives.
The school has been running their pop-up Highland Holiday Shoppe all week, stocked with gently used, new, and donated items for students to shop and buy items for family members. The items were donated by Bexley Moms and Safelite.
“It’s an amazing activity that is much loved for our entire community,” added Dr. McNally.
