Viewing the Board Meeting 

The Columbus Board of Education’s regular business meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the District’s South Administrative Center, 3700 S. High Street.

The Columbus Board of Education will hold regular office hours before all regular business meetings from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. The office hours will allow community members to meet with Board members one-on-one, ask questions, and share their thoughts and concerns.

Meeting Agenda Topics

The meeting agenda topics include

16.1 - Supporting Equitable Opportunities for All, the Board will be asked to authorize the administration to enter into an agreement with SameGoal Inc. SameGoal software has been used by Ohio school districts. This online web-based software is used by district personnel to write, review, and modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs) for students with disabilities. SameGoal includes all required, optional and model Special Education forms published by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to help districts, above all, remain compliant.  As state and federal Special Education requirements evolve, SameGoal makes changes to remain current.  Administrators are able to view documents, leverage  administrative reports and extract state reporting data. SameGoal also has online guides and helpdesk access for all users that helps staff get high-quality answers to questions from educators.

Board Meeting - Public Comment Registration

Anyone wishing to comment publicly can address the Board in person or by telephone. To sign up, public participants must call to leave a voicemail with Customer Relations at 614-365-8888 or email customerrelations@columbus.k12.oh.us by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15. Speakers will need to provide their name, topic, and phone number.
