Relationship
9th - Fatima Sillah
Fatima is an excellent student and role model who also has a knack for building positive relationships with her peers. Great job, Fatima!
10th - Bry'Neil Jones
Bry'Neil recently participated in NHS PeerBry'Neil recently participated in NHS Peer Mediator training and was a joy to have. Along with his participation in the peer mediator program, Bry'Neil also sought mediation for his own conflict, which displayed his conflict resolution skills and willingness to repair and build relationships in the Northland HS community
11th - Kenny Baron
Kenny is an awesome student who leads the class in listening to me read Huck Finn 7th period. He always answers questions and shows the class that it is important to listen and learn. The example he sets allows him to build positive relationships with his peers
12th - Kevin White
Kevin is always so kind to everyone in class. He talks to everyone. He has a kind personality and is so respectful in class. I enjoy the rapport that Kevin and I have developed this year and am so glad I have had the pleasure to get to know him.
Scholarship
9th - Angel Estupinan
Angel showed his Grit and work ethic in putting in the extra time and effort to bring his Science grade up. He demonstrated his SCHOLARSHIP by doing what it takes to make sure he is successful in his classes.
10th - Jayla Brown
Jayla really struggled in quarter 2, barely submitting enough work to pass. Her attendance habits were also poor. She has really turned it around this quarter. She has an A and is demonstrating more commitment to her work.
11th - Marquez Clifford
Marquez has become one of my top students after a shaky first half of the year. He is on-time now, prepared for class and engaged. His test scores have soared, and his knowledge of science is truly making me proud! Please commend this dramatic turnaround!
12th - Jenabu Ceesay
Jenabu is a top scholar in her class and has worked hard to adapt to learning changes through the pandemic. She was on super honor roll the last nine weeks and is even completing an extra course in APEX so she can earn a high school diploma of distinction. Go Jenabu!
Citizenship
9th - Reponse Ntwari
Reponse sets an outstanding example for the class in demonstrating excellence in the three A's: Attitude, Attendance, and Academics. He always has a mature attitude and is respectful to both teachers and classmates, and is respected by all. Furthermore, he has excellent attendance and excels academically. He exemplifies a true Viking Ship Citizen.

Julius Naffa demonstrates the three A"s (Attitude, Attendance, & Academics) both in my class and in the school. He always has a cooperative and mature attitude ready to work and always prepared. He is always on time and puts forth rigorous effort in all his work he does. Julius is indeed worthy of the honor of what a Viking Ship Citizen represents.

Cartier is always pleasant, upbeat, and polite. He treats everyone he encounters with respect, dignity, and kindness. He shows humility and grace in his interactions with his peers, staff members, and guests. He models what it means to be Viking!
12th - Eva Bahati
Eva is a model citizen at Northland. He makes mature decisions and advocates for himself respectfully and wisely.
Leadership
9th - Hanan Ibrahim
Not only is Hanan a highly-motivated and conscientious student, she is also a very respectful and kind young lady. She is a very successful student who obviously takes pride in her academic future and at achieving her goals. She is a true leader.
10th -Sabina Gajmer
Sabina's natural leadership sets the tone for her classmates. She consistently shows initiative in completing complex tasks head on, and always seeks out opportunities to assist her classmates in trying their best, too. Keep up the great work, Sabina!
11th - Akamaria Ware
Kamaria is generally very quiet, soft-spoken, and humble, which typically isn't associated with Leadership. However, she is the type of student who leads by example. She puts in the time (she is rarely absent) and the work (she always strives to put forth high quality work) and it shows in all that she creates in class. Her efforts also don't go unnoticed by her peers, earning her and her work both respect and admiration.
12th - Sumeya Muhummed
Sumeya has strived repeatedly this year to improve her drawing skills. She approaches challenges with a positive attitude and a willingness to try, even if she isn't initially confident in her abilities. Her persistence and positivity are definitely a blessing and an example for her peers to follow. I am always looking forward to see what she will accomplish next with her natural leadership.
